Jhalana Leopard Safari
When it comes to making photography tour, Jhalana Leopard Reserve emerges out as the most suitable place to visit. For nature enthusiasts, the reserve can serve as a magician that fulfils our cherished fantasies. One can find perfect opportunities to capture the sight of Leopards and other wild cats. Drowsy and beautiful species on earth, I catch them easily on my camera. Enjoying safari and moving around the wildlife surrounding is a bonus.
Located in the heart of Jaipur city, Jhalana Leopard Reserve was once the land for royal hunters. And now, it has turned into a reserve for the protection of Leopard community. As a decent and healthy number of Leopards are withheld, even devious cat species can be spotted here.
Talking about the terrain and location, Jhalana Leopard Reserve is outlined in the foothills of Aravalli hills and is dissipated over 20 square km. The city of Jaipur encompasses the landscape of the reserve from all directions. A population of over 20 supremely vicious and intractable Leopards reside in the tourist zone making the park primitively wild in itself. The supple apex predators, Leopards, living like tigers in the park contribute to enhance the experience of travelers.
Among the wishes present in the bucket list of a photographer, desire for having a real picture of a Leopard is one on top. As this sleek creature is too shy to get observed. Usually, visitors return disappointed from parks they visit because of not spotting the sleek cat. But, the case is quite different when you visit Jhalana Leopard Reserve as the consistency of Leopard is reasonable. The area congested which increases the probability of sighting many folds.
Besides leopards, the park maintains pretty good species of Hyena, Jungle Hare, Spotted Deer, Hanuman Langur, Hedgehog, Desert Fox, Indian Palm Squirrel, Porcupine, and Desert Gerbil. Yet bird lovers will surely find a place of their interest as there are a number of bird species including Owl, Nightjar, Paradise Flycatcher, Indian Pitta, Eurasian Sparrowhawk, Golden Oriole, Indian Eagle Owl, Shikra, Nightjar, Brown-capped Pygmy Woodpecker, white and brown Fantail, and a lot more, can also be sighted here.
Also, the reptilian record of the park is not bad as nine species of snakes can be spotted here along with two monitor lizard species.

Visiting the place, with the highest expectations of spotting the true alpha, borrowing an open gipsy safari will be a life experience. You yourself will witness it at comfort. As the refuge is right in the centre of the city, you can reach there within an hour.

It takes just an hour drive from Jaipur to visit the sanctuary. Without relying on luck, I am sure you'll encounter implausibly amazing species soon after entering the park.
